Krempachy (German: Krummbach) is a mountain town in Poland in the voivodeship Lesser Poland. The place is in the Polish part of the Zips at the foot of the High Tatras southeast of Krakow in the Pienines at the Białka.

background

The place dates from the 14th century. The churches in the village date from the 16th and 18th centuries. The Reformation was introduced in 1549 and the Counter Reformation in 1660. After the First World War, the place became Polish after initial border disputes.

You can travel by train from Germany via Krakow and Nowy Targ respectively. The Polish rail network is operated by the state railway PKP. Rail travel in Poland is very cheap.

The road network around Jurgów is well equipped. The journey from Germany is over Wroclaw and Krakow possible. We continue to Nowy Targ and there on a country road to our destination.
