Krempachy

Krempachy (German: Krummbach) is a mountain town in Poland in the voivodeship Lesser Poland. The place is in the Polish part of the Zips at the foot of the High Tatras southeast of Krakow in the Pienines at the Białka.

background

The place dates from the 14th century. The churches in the village date from the 16th and 18th centuries. The Reformation was introduced in 1549 and the Counter Reformation in 1660. After the First World War, the place became Polish after initial border disputes.

In summer you can go hiking from the village or go white water kayaking on the Białka.

The shops in town are limited to daily needs and small souvenirs. You should go shopping Nowy Targ because the choice is significantly larger there.
