Mühlwald(Italian: Selva dei Molini) is a South Tyrolean Community with around 1450 inhabitants. Administratively it belongs to the district community Val Pusteria.

The parish consists of the villages 1 Mühlwald and 2 Lappach as well as the scattered settlement 3 Ausermühlwald. She lies in Mühlwald valley, a western side valley of the Tauferer Ahrntal. The valley is traversed by the Mühlwalder Bach, which is near the main ridge of the Zillertal Alps arises. On its way into the valley, the stream is dammed twice to generate energy, above Lappach am 1 Neves reservoir and below the village of Mühlwald am 2 Mühlwalder See. It ends at Mills in Taufers into the Ahr.
