in the Franconian Forest there are two MTB networks with a total of approx. 300 km and 8000 meters of altitude:
MTB network "Bayrischer Rennsteig"
This network has 3 circuits that are in the area of Steinbach am Wald, Ludwigsstadt, Tettau, and Teuschnitz lie.
MTB network "Döbraberg"
This network extends around the 794 m high Döbraberg. Entry points are here Market roof, Wallenfels, Schwarzenbach am Wald and Stadtsteinach. There are various "Bike Fun Trails" on the Döbraberg. I.a. can also be used on the ski slopes.
- There are different ones for mountain bikers Trails:
- Kids / exercise course (90 m): equipped with all the elements on which the grown-ups can let off steam next door, a playground for children and newcomers, offers optimal training opportunities for driving style and technique.
- North Shore Trails (130 m): wooden structures with curves and driveways and descents. You can cancel at any time between the individual elements, the height of the trails from 0.50 - 1.00, width 0.65 - 0.85 m
- Single trails (approx. 1,060 m): For beginners and advanced skiers, natural paths, with chicanes, steep in places, with roots and stones. Here it goes up and downhill on narrow paths. Concentration and a little driving skills are required to master even the trickiest parts.
- Single dual course (150 m): with starting hill, double jumps, triple jump and banked turns.
- Grastrail 2.50 m wide as a feeder to the trails or as a freeride: length 850 m, height difference 40 m, 2x stream crossing / ford
- Uphill: 150 m long rough trail with a height difference of 35 m.
