Mieming chain - Mieminger Kette

The Mieming chain or Mieminger Berge belongs to the northern chain of the Limestone Alps and is located in Austria.

The Mieminger chain is a very small mountain range and is geographically on the west side of the Fernpass, on the north side of the Wetterstein, bordered on the east by the Seefeld plateau and on the south by the Inn Valley.

In the Alpine Club division, the Mieming chain is identified with the Wetterstein run together as a common mountain group.

Valleys

  • Gaistal. On the north side of the mountains, border valley to Wetterstein, Access from Leutasch in the east and Ehrwald in the west, popular mountain bike and hiking area. The Leutascher Ache flows through the valley from west to east and flows into the Isar at Mittenwald.

The tour can be extended as a hike to the managed Coburger Hütte.
