In January 2019 there was a poster at the train station with the content: "Seefeld - highest ICE train station in the world". By bus

In the street

Coming from Germany, Seefeld can be reached via the E533 (B2 in Germany and B177 in Austria) via Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Mittenwald. Like the railway line that runs parallel to it, this road must occasionally be closed in winter due to the risk of avalanches; the only alternative route is from Mittenwald above Leutasch and is quickly overloaded by single-lane traffic management.

If you are already in Austria, the best way to get there is via the A12 motorway innsbruck runs. To get to Seefeld from this motorway, however, you have to overcome a pass with a gradient of up to 16%, so that the journey on this section can take a long time if you have a mobile home or truck in front of you.
