Montespluga is a village of the Lombardy.
To know
The village is located on the Italian side of the Spluga Pass (in German: Splügenpass) which leads from Italy to the Switzerland and is the last country on the Italian side of the Via Spluga; in winter it is often isolated from both countries.

Milan Malpensa is the closest airport, but Zurich it is an option, but only in summer as the pass is closed in winter.
By car
The car is the only way to reach Montespluga. A4 motorway: Bergamo exit. Continue for Lecco, Chiavenna is Madesimo.

How to get around
This is a very small place, so walking is the best way to get around; there are no bus services in the village.
What see
There are no really big attractions in Montespluga, it really is a place of activity. The only real thing to see is the spectacular high mountain scenery as this is the border between the Rhaetian and Lepontine Alps.
