Muenster is a french City in the department Haut-Rhin, in the Alsace.

Politically, the city belongs to the arrondissement Colmar and is the administrative seat of the canton of Munster. He is the capital of the Munstertaesthat is traversed by the fencing and to the South Vosges belongs.

The place goes back to a monastery founded in the 7th century. It is also the hometown of the famous Munster cheese.
