Waterford County

  • Waterford - Capital of the county of the same name.

County Clare

  • Ennis - County Clare county seat.
  • Killaloe - Another village on the banks of Lough Derg.
  • Kilrush - Ancient port on the Shannon estuary whose waters are populated by colonies of dolphins that reside there all year round. The resort is renowned for its golf courses.
  • Mountshannon - Located on the west bank of Lough Derg, the village of Mountshannon despite its small size, it has a decent tourist infrastructure.

Limerick County

  • To give - Among the prettiest villages in the county, To give it is a popular tourist destination with extensive golf courses and the possibility of horse-riding excursions to castles and ruins of medieval abbeys in its surroundings. Adare Castle has been converted into a luxury hotel.
  • Glin - Pretty village on the banks of the Shannon with medieval castles in its surroundings.
  • Limerick - The third largest city in the Irish Republic, Limerick is well suited for excursions along the banks and along the estuary of the River Shannon, amidst peaceful lakeside landscapes that appeal above all to freshwater fishing enthusiasts.

  • Cahir - Town famous for its pubs and castle.

County Kerry

  • Dingle - Base for excursions to the peninsula of the same name.
  • Kenmare - Town on the bay of the same name.
  • Killarney - One of the major tourist centers of Ireland thanks to the idyllic lakes of the surroundings which are a national park (Killarney National Park). It is also the base for the sightseeing tour known as "Ring of Kerry".
  • Tralee - County Kerry county seat.

County Cork

  • Cobh - Dominated by an imposing neo-Gothic cathedral, Cobh it is a port where many cruise ships call in in the summer months.
  • Cork - Capital of the homonymous county and of the whole Munster.
  • Kinsale - Small fishing port about twenty km south of Cork, Kinsale it is one of the major tourist centers in Ireland. It has a large marina where private yachts drop anchor. Kinsale boasts the title of the gastronomic capital of Ireland and in fact every year in October there is a festival dedicated to the gourmet.

  • Cliffs of Moher (Cliffs of Moher) - Internationally famous, the bare cliff face plunging into the ocean is one of Ireland's greatest natural attractions.

Limerick County

  • Lough Gur - Lake on whose shores there is an archaeological site with dolmens and Neolithic tombs.

Tipperary County

  • Glen of Aherlow - Picturesque valley in the Galtee mountains in the west of the county.
  • Rock of Cashel - Also known as "St Patrick's Rock" it is one of the most famous archaeological sites in Ireland.

County Kerry

  • Killarney National Park - The oldest of Ireland's national parks. It was in fact established in 1932. It occupies the spaces of the Muckross estate which belonged to an Irish politician, Arthur Vincent who donated it as a legacy to the state. The park is famous for its lakeside landscapes that captivated Queen Victoria from the time of her first stay in the Muckross summer.
  • Beara Peninsula (Beara Peninsula) - Renowned is the "Ring of Beara", a tour of the peninsula for a total of 148 km which is done by car. Start at the village of Kenmare and runs largely on the R574 regional road passing through the villages of Adrigole, Castletownbere, Allihies and finish at Glengarriff. Through a detour it is possible to reach the extreme western tip of the peninsula off which stands the rocky islet of Dursey which you can reach by cable car. The center with the greatest tourist infrastructure on the Beara Peninsula is the fishing port of Castletownbere, where, in addition to staying overnight, you can rent a motor boat and practice scuba diving.
  • Iveragh Peninsula - Very popular is the tour of the peninsula known as the "Ring of Kerry" which can be done by rental car but also by coach of private companies. The itinerary takes place for 180 km touching renowned points within the Kerry National Park such as Derrynane House, residence of the famous politician Daniel O'Connell (1775 - 1847), Ross Castle, Ladies View, an admired vantage point from Queen Victoria during her 1861 stay at the Muckross estate, Tor waterfall and others.
  • Valentia Island - at the western end of the Iveragh Peninsula which is connected by a pier. The island of Valentia enjoys a very mild climate which, thanks also to the rains, allows for luxuriant vegetation. Famous are the gardens surrounding Glanleam House with exotic plants from Australia, New Zealand and South America and successfully transplanted here.

County Cork

  • Dingle - The only inhabited center of the peninsula of the same name extending into the Atlantic Ocean, Dingle is a summer resort dedicated to relaxation. Fishing, boat trips with the possibility of spotting dolphins and solitary walks in the mountainous hinterland are the most popular activities.
  • Garinish Island (Ilnacullin) - Small island famous for its exotic gardens between temples inspired by ancient Greece and the Italian Renaissance.

Poulnabrone Dolmen
  • Athassel Priory (Tipperary County) - Ruins of a monastery from the Norman period 8 km from Cashel.
  • Abbey of the Holy Cross (Tipperary County) - Cistercian monastery on the banks of the Suir river. Holy Cross Abbey was destroyed by Cromwell's army and left to fall into disrepair. It was restored starting in 1969.
  • Bantry House (County Cork) - Estate with an 18th century noble mansion in the center.
  • Poulnabrone dolmen (Burren region) - Neolithic dolmen-shaped tomb (4200-2900 BC). Poulnabrone means "millstone".
  • Craggaunowen (County Clare) - Reconstruction of a Celtic village on the shores of an idyllic lake.
  • Bunratty Castle (County Clare) - One of the major tourist attractions of Ireland, thanks also to the Bunratty Folk Park, reconstruction of a village with craft shops and rural houses.
