Neuenbürg is a small town in Northern Black Forest, it is on a loop of the Enz at their upper reaches.

Neuenbürg originated in the 11th century in the Enz valley at the foot of the Schlossberg. In 1274 the place received city rights. Around 1320 Neuenbürg came into the possession of the Württemberg people. In 1552 the old castle was demolished and replaced by a castle. During the Thirty Years War the castle was looted, its north wing burned down and was rebuilt. A branch of the Badisches Landesmuseum has been housed in the castle's rooms since 2001.

Around 1975 the formerly independent municipalities became in the course of a municipality reform Arnbach, After that and Waldrennach incorporated.

The neighboring communities Straubenhardt, Birch field and Angel Brand belong to the Enzkreis, Schömberg, Yards, Bad Wildbad and Chub are in the district of Calw.
