Neuwied is a city on the right bank of the Rhine Middle Rhine in Rhineland-Palatinate about 10 km northwest of Koblenz located.

At the 1 Neuwied station can withstand RE trains Koblenz and Cologne. The StadtExpress from Frankfurt via Wiesbaden, Lahnstein and Koblenz Hbf ends here. The next IC and ICE train station is Koblenz.

The quickest way to get to Neuwied is to take the Bundesstraße 9 to Koblenz Nord.

On the Rhine cycle route. It also runs through the Neuwied districts of Rodenbach, Niederbieber, Oberbieber and Heimbach-Weis German Limes cycle route. This leads along the German Limes Road over 818 km from Bad Hönningen at the Rhine to regensburg at the Danube.

The tram was shut down in the 1960s to make Neuwied “car-friendly”. Since then there has been a (especially thin in the evenings and on weekends) Bus network. Everything in the city center can be reached on foot.

Neuwied has neither a university nor a technical college. This is clearly noticeable: While there are many children and young people as well as many older people in Neuwied, young adults are almost completely absent.
