By plane
The closest commercial airfield is Sylt airfield. The Husum airfield is also nearby, but it is only served by private planes. There is also one in the neighboring village of Leck Sports airfield which can be approached after prior registration (PPR).
By train
Niebüll is connected to the InterCity network of Deutsche Bahn. ICs run daily in the direction of Westerland and Hamburg. In addition, the ICs also carry through cars to Dagebüll Mole during the main travel season, which are uncoupled in Niebüll and continue to Dagebüll after a longer stopping time. These travel times are based on the arrival and departure times of the ferries to Foehr and Amrum Voted. Due to the through car system, older IC cars are usually used, so that rather narrow and steep entrances are to be expected, which is particularly uncomfortable for people with disabilities and for cyclists who want to load or unload their bikes. However, the ICs in Niebüll usually last longer, so that there is no rush to get in and out of the car.

Niebüll is characterized by a large indoor pool. However, this indoor pool is more suitable for athletes than for families, as it does not meet the equipment standards of a leisure or fun pool.
