The village of Nothalten is made up of the ancient villages of Nothalten and Zell, it is dominated by the Grand Cru du Muenchberg.

Understand

From the 14the century, the nobles ofAndlau and the bishop of Strasbourg are in possession of the village. Boehmstein Castle, in ruins since the 15th centurye century, was probably built in the 13the century. Only a few vestiges remain. There are two Renaissance fountains to admire, one in Zell, the other in Nothalten.

Today, the vines extend over more than 220 hectares. Tourism is however taking an increasingly important place in the local economy. There are many accommodation options.

The paths laid out in the vineyards invite walkers to discover the landscape and the beauty of its vineyard.
