Shigatse Prefecture (日喀则 地区, Rìkāzé Dìqū or Xigazê) is a prefecture Chinese of the Tibet in the province of Southwest China.

Urban centers
- Shigatse (日喀则; Rìkāzé or Xigatse) - Capital and a real city of the prefecture.
- Drongpa (仲巴; Zhōngbā)
- Gyantse (江孜 镇; Jīangzǐzhèn) - The fourth largest city in Tibet and is home to a famous stupa.
- Lhatse (Lhazê) - City of little tourist interest, but it is an important hub for public transport as it is also the terminus for the routes to Mount Kailash and Nepal. There are few guest houses and shops.
- Nyalam (聂拉木; Nièlāmù) - Site of the Milarepa quarry.
- Sakya - Large village with an important monastery.
- Shelkar - Starting point for off-road excursions to Qomolangma National Nature Reserve.
- Tingri (定日; Dìngrì) - The closest city "to the highway" to Nepal and Mt. Everest. It offers a simple and wide choice of accommodation and is a good viewpoint of Mount Everest. With camping equipment it is also possible to continue to the camp towards Everest; an excursion of about 4 days.
- Zhangmu (樟木; Zhāngmù or Dram) - City located on the border with Nepal.

- Qomolangma National Nature Reserve - A reserve that extends to the foot of the northern side of the mountain Everest.

- Pelgyeling Monastery of Nyalam (10 km north of Nyalam). A monastery built around a quarry where the enlightened Milarepa (1040-1123) and his disciple Rechungpa spent many years meditating.
