Québec maritime includes the tourist regions of eastern Quebec bordering the estuary and the Gulf of St. Lawrence. It constitutes a set of regions where nature is magnificent. Bas-Saint-Laurent (Rimouski)
The south shore of the St.Lawrence, with the Bic national park and several islands famous for bird watching.

The Gaspé Peninsula in the east of the province, discovered by Jacques Cartier in 1534, with the national parks of the emblematic Percé rock, of Forillon and of Miguasha Renowned for its fossils and classified by UNESCO and especially its hospitable population with the typical accent of the past.
Duplessis (Sept-Iles)
North coast of the St.Lawrence from nearly 1 000 km strewn with bays, coves and islets with a tormented profile, but also a hinterland of 200 000 km2 including boreal forests as far as the eye can see as well as rivers and lakes galore.
Manicouagan (Baie-Comeau)
The coast overlooks the St. Lawrence, the cliffs framing the Saguenay Fjord, the boreal forest, the tundra, rivers and lakes.
Magdalen Islands
Archipelago lost in the ocean with their seals, their birds and above all their warm Acadian culture.

  • 2 Gaspe  – The largest city in the Gaspesie, located at the end of the peninsula.
  • 3 Matane  – Chief town of the MRC de La Matanie and important regional economic and administrative center.
  • 4 Rimouski  – Largest city in Bas-Saint-Laurent and Quebec maritime, located on the edge of the St. Lawrence estuary, includes the only university in the region.
  • 5 Wolf River  – Important regional center.
  • 6 Sept-Iles  – Stopover for cruise ships, an important regional center.
