rain on the river of the same name is a district town in Bavarian forest.

Rain claims for itself the invention of the Pichelsteiner stew. Every year finds that Pichelsteiner Festival with a gondola ride on the Regen (well worth seeing) and a folk festival.
In 2004 it was raining Climatic health resort.
getting there
In the street
With the autobahn A 3 and A 92 to Deggendorf. There it goes either via the B11 / B85 via Patersdorf to Regen, or on the direct route via the Rusel (mountain route closed to trucks, be careful in winter) after rain.
Regen is conveniently located at the intersection of B11 (Bavarian Eisenstein - Deggendorf) and B85 (Passau - Cham).
By train
With the ICE or IC / EC every 2 hours Plattling. The forest train then goes straight to Regen.
By plane
The Munich Airport is about 140 km from Regen.
By boat
The nearest ports (excursion traffic and river cruises) on the Danube are in Deggendorf and Passau.

Bus connections to the region are provided by the RBO hazards.
The forest railway drives over Zwiesel to Bavarian Eisenstein (partly over the border to Czech Republic) and after Plattling (here connection to the long-distance traffic of the DB). In Zwiesel you can change trains to Ground corn to Grafenau along the Bavarian Forest National Park.
In summer, the national park is opened up in the national park with the hedgehog buses.
With the Bavarian Forest Ticket there is an inexpensive day pass for all public transport in the region.

The choice of accommodation is in Regen compared to the smaller, but more touristy one Ground corn not lush.
