San Bartolome is a municipality on the island Lanzarote. The administrative seat is in a place of the same name in the center of the island, the resort belongs to the municipality Playa Honda, it is located between the airport and the city Arrecife.

The unspectacular place was already settled in ancient Canarian times and was then Ajei called. The Spaniards settled here because the place in the center of the island was relatively safe from pirate attacks. To the west of the village are lava fields, they are foothills of the Timanfaya National Park. To the north are the sand dunes of El Jable, the south is dominated by settlements in the nearby city of Arrecife.

The place is on the LZ-20 about 8 km away from the island's capital Arrecife,
