Sarstedt is a city on the northwestern edge of the Hildesheimer Börde.

Sarstedt is approximately halfway between Hanover and Hildesheim. At Sarstedt, through which the Innermost shortly before its confluence with the rope flows, that ends Leinebergland and the landscape is clearly visible in the north German lowlands.
