Apse
- 1 Parish church of Santa Maria Assunta. The Pieve di Sasso is one of the numerous Matildic churches that dot the Parma and Reggio Apennines. It should not be forgotten that Sasso is only about twenty kilometers from Canossa, the Castle of Matilde of which the ruins remain on the right side of the Enza, while Sasso is on the left side of the stream. The parish church is already mentioned at the beginning of the year 1000, and it seems that it was rebuilt at the end of the same century by the will of Matilde. It has three naves with round terracotta columns supporting six arches; the ceiling is trussed; the floor is made of silica. Slabs of ornament represent the symbols of the Evangelists, the lion of St. Mark and the Angel of Matthew. In the apse there are worn frescoes.
- The baptismal font dates back to the 12th century and is adorned with human figures and others typical of the medieval bestiary, such as the griffin. The façade is divided into three parts by pilasters surmounted by hanging arches. It seems to belong to the oldest building, from before the Matildic reconstruction, the ancient tower which is located behind the apse. The position of the Pieve, isolated on a hilltop and surrounded by the woods, makes it particularly suggestive. Not far from the church, which is also solitary, is the small cemetery of Sasso.

Itineraries
- Castles of the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza - Scattered over the Parma and Piacenza Apennines, but also present in the plain to guard the natural border of the Po, the numerous castles of the ancient Duchy of Parma and Piacenza characterize the whole area. Originally military bulwarks, many of them have kept the appearance of an inaccessible fortress, many have gradually transformed their war nature into a refined noble residence; all perpetuate over time the atmosphere of adventure, fairytale and legend that has always been linked to castles, many of which tell of the presence of spirits and ghosts.
