There is everything else there is in China. The local cuisine is quite hearty. You should keep your hands off the regional Jiazi because of the greasy filling. health
In the pharmacies you can buy everything you need. Antibiotics are given quickly, so be careful what you get. The names and ingredients of the drugs are international and understood. There are several doctor's offices and hospitals in the city. If you get sick you should always go to the more expensive English-speaking hospitals. In principle, you pay first, then you can see a doctor. You then have to buy the medication again and go back to the doctor, who gives it to you, e.g. via an infusion (injections are unusual). You can get the money back in Germany as long as you have a foreign health insurance. The city has a very high level of air pollution, which is why it is advisable to wear a mask if you are sensitive.
Practical advice
Mandarin, with a strong dialect and in some parts Korean. English is almost nowhere to be used.
trips
Especially in the direction of Benxi and the mountains on the North Korean border. There are several hot springs near the city.
