background
"What's worse than losing? Win!"
The industrial city of Siegen in South Westphalia was almost completely destroyed in the Second World War and then rebuilt in the style of the 1950s. Some of the worst building sins have been corrected in the meantime (such as the overbuilding of the Sieg in the city area with a large parking lot), others have remained, including the city motorway that leads over the heads of the residents on stilts. Siegen is therefore not known for its sights, but above all for its shopping opportunities, the city center, which is dominated by students, and its location in the narrow, deeply cut valleys of the Siegerland.
