Winterberg is the winter sports center in Rothaar Mountains in North Rhine-Westphalia. Due to its location in the Sauerland even more.

- 1 Bare branches. The 841 m high mountain is about 5 km southwest of the city center. The summit offers a lot to see. A visit is worthwhile for the view from the Hochheide area or from the tower (entrance fee € 1). Anyone who wants to can use the Mountain inn dine or stay the night.
- 2 St. James Church. The parish church was built in the 18th century. The inventory includes figures of the apostles that are well worth seeing.
- 3 St. Erasmus (Altastenberg). A precursor chapel was built in 1724. The small hall church with three window axes was built from quarry stone from 1823 to 1826. An extension was made in 1913.
- 4 St. Laurentius (Neuastenberg). The classicistic hall church was built from 1837 to 1838. An extension was added to the existing church between 1961 and 1962.
- 5 St. Lambertus Church (Grönebach). The history of the church goes back to the 13th century. It received its current form in 1878.
- 6 St. Johannes Baptist (Züschen). A precursor church was built in the 12th century. It was given its current form in 1857.
- 1 St. Georg Schanze. The ski jump is close to the summit on the southwest slope of Herrloh. Ski jumping competitions take place here.
- 7 Panorama experience bridge. The over 400 m long and up to 20 m high bridge leads over the bobsleigh run and the bike park. Experience stations invite you to visit.
- 8 Schützenhalle Siedlinghausen. The entire rifle hall consists of half-timbering, the compartments of which were lined with bricks.
- 9 Jewish cemetery (Winterberg). The cemetery was laid out from 1836 to 1935. It was severely damaged during National Socialism. After 1945 it was restored.

- 2 Winterberg ski lift carousel, At Waltenberg, Winterberg. The largest ski area in the Rothaar Mountains has a total of 17 km of slopes (easy: 8 km, medium: 8 km, difficult: 1.0 km). Tourist tax
As a state-approved climatic health resort, Winterberg levies a visitor's tax. Depending on the city area, it amounts to per night:
- Spa area I: 2.00 euros (Winterberg-Stadt)
- Spa areas II to V: 1.75 euros (districts Altastenberg, Elkeringhausen, Neuastenberg, Niedersfeld and Züschen)
- Other holiday resorts: 1.30 euros (Altenfeld, Grönebach, Hildfeld, Hoheleye, Lenneplätze, Langewiese, Mollseifen, Siedlinghausen and Silbach).
