Willingen im Upland is a well-known resort in Hesse Rothaar Mountains. Willingen uses the term in tourism marketing Willingen (Sauerland). In winter you will find Hesse's largest and most modern ski area here. As a result, Willingen attracts many Dutch and Danish guests, especially in the cold season. Ettelsberg
- Willingen's local mountain, 839 m high 1 Ettelsberg is worth a visit at any time of the year. The 59 m high waits on the mountain 2 Hochheideturm with a beautiful panoramic view. From the mountain station of the gondola to the Ettelsberg you can hike on a slightly hilly high path to the nature reserve "Neuer Hagen". From Clemensberg you have a nice view to the south Winterberg with the Bare branches. The artificial viewing hill with a summit cross (with summit book) and benches is on the edge of a quarry.
