Sitra (also Sittra, Arabic:سترة, Sitra) is a depression north of the Darb Siwa about 50 kilometers east of en-Nuweimisa. The distance to after el-Baḥrīya is about 150 kilometers. The local salt lake is the largest along the Darb Siwa.

The lake is located in the area of shallow sand dunes. Steep cliffs rise up on the north bank, but there are no graves in them. Its springs are located on the south bank, but they only provide brackish water.
The largest of the bitter lakes on Darb Siwa is about 20 kilometers long, 5 kilometers wide and about 25 meters below sea level.
No antiquities are known from Sitra.
