Slavonia is a historical region, it is located in the northeast of Croatia. It borders in the west Central Croatia, in the north Hungary, in the east Serbia and in the south Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In Osijek there is a smaller airport that you use seasonally Eurowings Directly from Cologne or Stuttgart, otherwise with transfer connections via Zagreb or Split. If your destination is in western Slavonia, you can get there from the airport Zagreb (ZAG) also travel by land (e.g. 185 km to Slavonski Brod).
The Zagreb – Belgrade railway line runs through Slavonia, and lies on it. Nova Gradiška railway stations, Slavonski Brod and Vinkovci. You can also take the night train directly from Schwarzach – Sankt Veit or Villach. In addition, regional trains run several times a day on the routes Zagreb – Nova Gradiška – Slavonski Brod – Vinkovci, Strizivojna-Vrpolje – Viskovci – Osijek and Zagreb – Koprivnica – Virovitica – Osijek. From the southern Hungarian Pécs Cross-border regional trains follow four times a day Beli Manastir, where there is a connection to Osijek.
