The province Svay Rieng(Khmer: ស្វាយរៀង) located in Cambodia in the east of the country on the border to Vietnam. It is a very rural region and so far hardly noticed by visitors to the country.

The only way to get to the eastern province is by road. National Route 1 connects the region with the capital. Buses and taxis serve the route regularly.

- Bavet / Mộc Bài: This is the busiest transition between Cambodia and Vietnam. The buses between Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh City take advantage of this transition. Many Cambodian bus companies have this route in their program and travel from Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh without changing buses.
