Thirty is a city of Trentino Alto Adige north ofItaly.
Understand
History has made it a proud town, with a number of grand mansions outside of town, where bishops came for the holidays. Nowadays, it is one of the most expensive cities in Italy, with the wealth of agriculture, wine and high-tech industries.
The city center is basically a pedestrian zone, and as you walk through the historic center you can see a number of exterior frescoes on historic buildings. In the past, the Adige River flowed just outside the center where the Torre Verde now stands.
The famous Council of Trent, met there at XVIe century for many sessions of several years.
To go
By car
Highway connects Trento to Verona in the south and Innsbruck via Bolzano North.
The road connects Trento with Padua.
By train
Thirty is on the main train line between Italy and Austria / Germany. There is a regional train line to Malè and Bassano di Grappa, with two daily trips to Venice and Padua.
Of Verona, it takes between 50 and 80 min by train, depending on the regional train. Please note that although ticket machines may offer first class tickets, there is no first class section on departing trains! Remember to validate your regional train ticket on the platform before boarding the train.
There are 5 daily trains to Munich and Innsbruck. The journey time between Trento and Munich with the direct inter-city is approximately 5 h.
Bolzano is 45-50 min to the north and is served on average by two trains / hour.

Circulate
The best way to see the city is on foot or by bike. The city center is closed to traffic and small and pleasant to walk.
By bus
The beautiful mountains surrounding Trento can be easily reached using public transport (blue buses).
By bike
Bike rental companies offer easy bike routes in the Trento area.
- 1 Bike Rental – You can rent bikes by registering for € 15 in advance. Then the first hour of each trip is free. There are a few stations in the city - one of them is opposite the tourist information in Piazza Dante.

- 1 Cathedral – The Dome of Trento or St. Vigil's Cathedral (Italian: cattedrale di San Vigilio) is the most important religious building in the city. The church hosted the Council of Trent (1545-1563) and was the seat of the episcopal principality of Trento.

- 5 Castle of Bon-Conseil – The original castle was a fortified building built in the 13th century.e century and referred to as the Castelvecchio (the old castle). It adjoined an enclosure surrounding the city of Trent. The monument belonged to the bishops of Trento. In the XIVe century, the castle was enlarged with a Gothic-style entrance. Subsequently, it was remodeled to become a princely residence with loggia. In the XVIe century, Cardinal Bernhard von Cles made it his new residence under the name of Palazzo Magno (the great palace).

Do
Trento offers a number of activities throughout the year:
- Rent a bike and enjoy a tour of the city, passing through the historic center.
- Visit the small neighboring towns on the regional rail lines Trento-Malè and Trento-Bassano di Grappa. A visit to Lago di Caldonazzo or Mezzocorona takes you even further off the beaten track.
- During the winter months, enjoy the mountains and ski at one of the many ski resorts located around Trento. Two stations are accessible by bus: Paganella and Monte Bondone.
- Sit in a cafe in Piazza Duomo and enjoy good conversation and la dolce vita.
