Tuchów is a mountain town in Poland in the southern voivodeship Lesser Poland southeast of Krakow in the Ciężkowice Mountains, a promontory of Beskydy Mountains, at the Biała.

The place was first documented documented in 1105. In 1340 the place received city rights. The Jakobuskirche also dates from this time and was heavily baroque after a fire in the 18th century. With the First Partition of Poland in 1772, the place came to the Habsburg kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria, where it stayed until the First World War. After the First World War, the city became Polish again. After the German invasion of Poland, the place was occupied by the Germans. In 1945 he came back to Poland.
