Our Lady in the Walde-St. Felix (Italian: Senale-San Felice) is a parish in Deutschnonsberg in South-Tirol, south of the Gampenpass in the upper Non Valley.

It is one of the three German-speaking communities in the Non Valley Proveis, Laurein and Our Lady in Walde-St. Felix are collectively referred to as Deutschnonsberg.

  • Our Lady in the Forest with the pilgrimage church

which were merged into one congregation in 1974.

One of the largest bunkers in South Tyrol was built under Mussolini on the border between South Tyrol and Trentino. In the entrance tunnel, changing collections of pictures are shown and there is a mineral exhibition.Open: July and August daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed on Friday; June and September Saturday, Sunday and Monday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; May and October Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.Price: Adults € 4.50 (with a guided tour € 9), 6 to 13.99 years € 2.50 (€ 5), from 60 years € 3.50 (€ 7).
  • 2  Felix waterfall. The waterfall falls vertically 75 meters from a rocky promontory, making it one of the highest in South Tyrol.

  • 2  Laugenalm, From the Gampenpass (1518 m) on path no.133 in the forest to the alpine pasture (1853 m). Tel.: 39 340 258 2853.Laugenalm on Facebook.The Alm is easily accessible on foot, even with a stroller. About 330 meters in altitude. 3.5 km about 1.5 hours. It continues to the Laugensee or the Laugenspitze.Open: from May to October.
  • Triassic Park. The dinosaur nature trail shows replicas of dinosaurs and gives further explanations on display boards. The highlight is the footprints of prehistoric reptiles discovered in 1997. It starts directly opposite the pilgrimage church of the Assumption of Mary in Our Lady in the Forest. The family hike is 4.3 km long, with an altitude difference of 160 meters. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Regular events

  • Dandelion weeks. The dandelion weeks are held at the end of April and beginning of May.
  • Patronage. The patronage is celebrated on the last Sunday in August. This is a holiday in the village Felix day called.
  • Radicchio days. The Radicchio Days are held at the end of September and beginning of October. Participating inns offer special dishes with radicchio.

  • Mortandela della Val di Non consists of finely chopped, seasoned pork. The salami mass is formed into a loaf and carefully smoked under juniper berry wood. After a few weeks of ripening, the salami can be cut into slices and eaten raw or fried.
