There Val Seriana is a valley of the Lombardy, in province of Bergamo.
To know
It is the valley of the river Serio, in the province of Bergamo, in the Orobie Alps. It winds along the river for about 50 kilometers, going up north-east from the capital. The valley floor is largely urbanized, constituting a continuous building, residential and productive that goes from Bergamo to the upper valley.
Geographical notes
Val Seriana, based on the orography of the territory, can be divided into three areas. The first, further north, has Alpine characters; the intermediate area is characterized by extensive plateaus; the final part is distinguished by the presence of a large territory limited by soft sides.
Among the most characteristic components of the natural landscape are the naturalistic and faunistic areas such as the chain of the Orobie Alps, the pizzo della Presolana (natural border between the Val Seriana and the Scalve Valley), the Pizzo Formico that dominates the town of Clusone and the Val Vertova.
