The Venice Province lies with its capital of the same name in the Northern Italian region Veneto. On August 31, 2015, the city of Venice became one with the province Metropolitan city(Città metropolitana) united.
Regions
The metropolitan city of Venice is located in the northern Po Valley and extends along the Adriatic coast. They are adjacent to Veneto belonging provinces Rovigo, Padua and Treviso as well as the too Friuli Venezia Giulia counting provinces Udine and Pordenone.
In the center of the metropolitan city, the city of Venice is located in a 550 km² large lagoon. The southern part of this lagoon is known as the "living lagoon" (laguna viva), it is washed through by sea water at ebb and flow. The northern part is the "dead lagoon" (laguna morta), it is fed by the tributaries and contains mainly brackish water.

Marco Polo Venice Marco Polo Airport(IATA: VCE).

Venice Treviso Airport(IATA: TSF) is a little off the beaten track near Treviso and is mainly a destination for low-cost airlines.

Autostrada Serenissima to Venice
- An alternative is the route through the Tauern tunnel Villach and Udine on the

- For Baccalà Mantecato watered stockfish is processed into a creamy mass with olive oil and garlic. The mass is served on a polenta slice.

- Castradina is a leg of mutton cooked for hours with cabbage and onion until soft.
