Zingst is a municipality on the peninsula Fischland-Darß-Zingst in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

The municipality of Zingst on the Zingst peninsula has been a recognized seaside spa since 2002 and a tourist attraction on the entire peninsula Fischland-Darß-Zingst. Today, the small town with its posh hotels is the glamorous center of the region, and guests stroll along the beach promenade and pier at times crowded. A demanding program of piano concerts, photo exhibitions, cabaret events, Zeesboat regattas and other things ensures that there are other attractions in addition to nature between the lagoon and the Baltic Sea almost all year round.

Rostock Laage Airport, about 92 km to the south-east, is the closest airport with scheduled connections. It offers flights to and from Munich. There are also connections Vienna, Heraklion and Antalya. - 2 Stralsund-Barth Baltic Sea Airport (IATA: BBH), Flughafenallee 11, 8356 Barth. Tel.: 49 (0)38231 895 51, Fax: 49 (0)38231 895 54, Email: [email protected]. As a former military airport, the airport in Barth, 17 km away, is not only suitable for small aircraft. Machines over 5.7 t can also land here.
By train
The nearest regional 3 Train stop
is located in Barth. The single-track branch line of the Usedomer Bäderbahn continues to follow Velgastwhere there is a connection to long-distance traffic. You can also travel to the Intercity stop Ribnitz-Damgarten possible, from where regional buses go to Zingst.
The line called Darßbahn continued to follow the Darß until World War II Prerow. A resumption of the Barth-Zingst-Prerow connection, which had been dismantled after the Second War, has not yet been decided.
By bus
Flixbus has two long-distance bus stops in Zingst. The 4 Zingst center bus stop is located abeam Jordanstraße 24 on Max-Hünten-Weg. Another 5 Zingst-West bus stop is on Seestrasse, Höhe Am Bahndamm. There are two stops there, depending on the direction of travel.

The place Zingst is in a cul-de-sac on the Zingst, the eastern end of the peninsula Fischland-Darß-Zingst.
Of Stralsund coming you drive over the 
to Karnin or Löbnitz, then via Barth and on the L 21 over the bridge over the Meiningenstrom. The Meiningen Bridge has been out of operation since 2015, and the swing bridge has been permanently open to shipping since 2019.
Since then, a temporary bridge has been used permanently for road traffic (bascule bridge with ship opening times). Waiting times for the openings must be expected.
Of Rostock coming you drive for about 20 km on the , turn in Altheide towards Dierhagen / Darss and follow the Bäderstrasse (old Via Hansa) to Zingst.

- The Baltic Sea Cycle Route leads past the southern outskirts of Zingst.
- On the Fischland-Darß-Zingst-Rundweg is Zingst both from Ribnitz-Damgarten as well as from Stralsund reachable.

The bus route 210 crosses Zingst (Barth-Zingst-Prerow-Wieck-Ahrenshoop-Wustrow-Ribnitz-Damgarten, VVR timetable), but with only a few stops in the local area, it does not offer a useful line connection to use it for local traffic. There is a Hummelbahn (Darssbahn, Timetable and prices).
Various bicycle dealers and rental stations make cycling in Zingst and on the entire peninsula a pleasure.

The inauguration of the neo-Gothic church was celebrated on October 26, 1862. As early as 1872, water penetrated the church during the great storm surge, and in 1889 the first major repairs were necessary. The original neo-Gothic altar was removed in 1930. In 1935 the theologian and resistance fighter Dietrich Bonhoeffer also preached in the Zingst Church. Today concerts are often held here in the summer months.

- For nature lovers and bird lovers, the autumn season in particular (mid to late October, depending on the weather also from mid-September) offers an incomparable natural spectacle: tens of thousands of cranes fly from the 4 Kirr Island in the lagoon waters to look for food. They return at dusk to spend the night on the island. There are numerous viewpoints along the dike on the Bodden side, from which one can observe this spectacle well. Crane tours with passenger ships are also offered, from which one can observe the animals well.

- Every year in March there is a laser show Light dance of the elements - with more than 10,000 spectators on the beach in Zingst.
- Every year at Easter the Zingst piano days in 2012 it was the 11th edition of this series of events with a spectrum from boogie-woogie to jazz to classical music. Even at the pier, visitors can enjoy piano music to the sound of the sea thanks to a sound installation.
