Upper Rhine (in FrenchHaut-Rhin) is a department French in the region ofAlsace.
To know
Despite the name "Alto", this department represents the southern part of Alsace, on the border between France, Germany is Switzerland as the bridge in the town of Huningue, called "Bridge of the Three Countries". The historical and cultural influence of Germany as in all of Alsace is very present and appears from the name of the cities, which almost always have two variants: one French and the other German or sometimes retain the old German name.
