Tourist buses depart from Bangkok lining up towards i floating markets. Damnoen Saduak it is widely visited by foreign tourists, while Amphawa it's a weekend attraction overrun by Thais. Kanchanaburi is another highlight, particularly for the Bridge over the River Kwai and all the sites of interest, as well as museums, associated with the Second World War. Nakhon Pathom is known for Phra Pathom Chedi, the tallest stupa in the world. Some of the bookable tours from Bangkok manage to include all of these attractions in one day itinerary.

This is a sparsely populated region with endless paddy fields, shrimp farms and orchards. A scenic way to see the countryside is to take the Mae Khlong Railway Line, a slow, rustic train that runs from Bangkok to Samut Songkhram advancing at a snail's pace. A boat transfer to the fishing village of is included Samut Sakhon. Going further west, the terrain becomes mountainous. Kanchanaburi here it has the role of natural panoramic center, and from there you can visit the Erawan National Park or le Sai Yok Noi waterfalls.
