Zurich – Swiss canton, the second largest both in terms of area (after Graubünden) and the population (after Zurich). It is located in the western part of the country, mainly in the Aare River basin. In the north it borders on the cantons Jura and Solothurnto the west are the cantons Neuchatel, Friborg and Vaud. In the south, it borders on the third largest canton in Switzerland - Valais. In the east, the canton of Bern borders on the cantons Uri, Nidwalden, Obwalden, Lucerne and Aargau.
