The municipality of Blaibach, various surrounding villages and hamlets have been incorporated, is located on the Regen river Bavarian forest and is 20 km from the Czech border.

The 1 Blaibach train station is on the line OPB4 after Bad Kötzting - Lam the Upper Palatinate Railway, it is served every two hours by a small railcar.

Blaibach is from the south over the B20 from Straubing resp. of the A3Nuremberg - regensburg - Passau coming over the district town Cham accessible from there via the B85 in the direction rain and about Miltach and them St2140 or about the St2132 in the direction Bad Kötzting and then south on the CHA10.From the west you take the A93 from Schwandorf the B85 also about Cham.

There is no passenger shipping on the river Regen.
mobility
Locally one moves on foot, the starting point for canoe tours at the Kneipp facility near Kreuzbach (on the left bank of the Regen) can be reached in approx. 5 minutes, the dam of the Blaibacher See is a 20 minute walk.

- the 1 Parish Church of St. Elisabeth was built in 1779 in the late baroque style with the typical onion dome, the ceiling frescoes and some of the stained glass windows date from 1895.
- the 2 Blaibach Castle The area of Blaibach, first mentioned in a document in 1182 as the property of the Reichenbach am Regen monastery, was built in 1604/05 by the barons of Notthracht and is now used as an inn.
