Well on the mountains is a market town in the south of Vienna on the eastern slope of the Vienna Woods. The suburbanization community with its settlement area has fully grown together with Vienna and the other neighboring communities. In addition to the old place, which was able to retain its village character, there is also a large commercial area with industry and shopping centers in the eastern part of the municipality.
background
The municipality was already settled in the Neolithic, and in Roman times there was a veterans' settlement. Today's place was created around the year 1000, was first mentioned in a document Prunni in the 12th century. The place was fortified from the 16th to the beginning of the 19th century.
The tranquil wine village was discovered by the Viennese bourgeoisie as a summer resort from the 19th century, and magnificent villas were built. Numerous industrial companies also sprang up in the eastern part of the community along the southern railway line. The suburbanization continued from the 1960s thanks to the good traffic-favorable location, today Brunn has grown together completely with Vienna and the neighboring communities up to Mödling and Traiskirchen. In addition to extensive single-family home areas, Brunn is also the location of numerous industrial companies and shopping centers.
Brunn was part of Greater Vienna from 1938 to 1954.

Floridsdorf, Praterstern, Vienna center (Country road), Central Station, Meidling) to Wiener Neustadt or Mödling. During the day, Brunn can be reached from Vienna every 15 minutes; Brunn is in the first outer zone of the VOR.
The best way to get to the eastern part of the community, where the large industrial areas are located, is by taking the Vienna-Baden local train ("Badner Bahn"), Vösendorf Shopping City Süd stop (Pyramid exit).

There are a few local suppliers in the village itself. What is remarkable, however, is the large industrial area on Triester Straße (B17) and the B12a directly opposite Shopping City South. You will find some large furniture stores, specialist and hardware stores and car dealerships here. Access to the SCS is difficult. Since the shopping centers are competing, they do not place any value on a walking connection with one another. The SCS - one of the largest shopping centers in Europe - is just a few meters beyond the municipal boundary in the municipalities Vösendorf and Wiener Neudorf.
