Butjadingen is both a municipality and a peninsula and is located on the North Sea between Wilhelmshaven and Bremerhaven. The North Sea coast invites you to swim. - From Eckwarderhörne there is a daily ferry connection from June to August Wilhelmshaven (for people and bicycles). There is no evidence of a bus connection from Eckwarderhörne to the other districts.
- In Nordenham-Blexen has a ferry connection to Bremerhaven. Bus connection to Blexen requires changing at Nordenham train station.
- The arrival with seaworthy sport boats is possible; Mooring options are to be checked.
- It is conceivable to arrive by inland sport boats across the Jade Bay or the mouth of the Weser.
