Butjadingen is both a municipality and a peninsula and is located on the North Sea between Wilhelmshaven and Bremerhaven. The North Sea coast invites you to swim. - In Nordenham-Blexen has a ferry connection to Bremerhaven. Bus connection to Blexen requires changing at Nordenham train station.
- The arrival with seaworthy sport boats is possible; Mooring options are to be checked.
- It is conceivable to arrive by inland sport boats across the Jade Bay or the mouth of the Weser.

The "Butjadinger Weg", which runs from Petershörn / Dangast to Nordenham / Blexen, is part of the European long-distance footpath E9 (58 km)
