It has a particular urban structure consisting of the aggregation of 13 hamlets scattered throughout the territory, administratively grouped with the municipal seat in La Bianca.
The village is made up of two nuclei:
- Campello Alto, fortified village
- Campello Basso
Campello sul Clitunno is part of the "National Association of Oil Cities".
Background
In the municipal territory there are the sources of the Clitunno river ("Fonti del Clitunno") and, not far away, the "Tempietto del Clitunno", probably the most interesting late ancient monument of Umbria and a heritage ofUNESCO (Lombard sites).
