There Italian capital of culture is a city designated by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism and chosen by a commission of seven experts appointed by the same ministry who, for the period of one year, has the opportunity to showcase its life and development cultural. Its objectives include "enhancing the cultural and landscape heritage" and "improving the services for tourists".
