Center-Loire Valley (Center-Val de Loire) is one of the regions of the France.
To know
This region is often referred to by the name Center-Val de Loire as the bulk of the region (touristically speaking) is made up of the Loire valley. The region, in addition to the famous castles, is also known for its historic towns and its vineyards.
Geographical notes
The territory of the Centro region borders on that of the Lower Normandy northwest of theUpper Normandy north ofÎle-de-France to the northeast, of the Burgundy to the east ofAuvergne to the southeast, del Limousin south, del Poitou-Charentes to the southwest and of the Pays de la Loire West.
When to go
The climate of the region is generally continental with cold winters (locally snowy) and quite hot summers, it is not unusual to come across dull and rainy days even in midsummer with consequent mild temperatures.
