Closed Sclafani is a city of Sicily.
To know
The city takes its name from Matteo Sclafani who in the fourteenth century enlarged a pre-existing farmhouse from which the town takes its name.

- 1 Church of San Sebastiano, Via della Pace, 5. If on the outside the façade of this eighteenth-century church is simple and uninteresting, inside there are interesting stucco decorations by Vincenzo Messina collaborator of Giacomo Serpotta.
- 2 mother church (Church of San Nicola di Bari), Wide Matrix. The largest church in the country.
- 3 Church of Santa Maria Assunta, S. Domenico square. Baroque church from the 15th century.
- 4 Church of Santa Caterina, Via Papa Giovanni XXIII, 6. Church of the fifteenth century.

Where to eat
Among the typical products there is Ranza and Sciura a kind of closed pizza prepared with "ranza" (cruschello), and the "sciura", that is the flower of the flour. Inside are added different condiments such as sardines, onion, sausage etc. Also there is the Bread of St. Joseph created with floral decorative shapes or braids.

- 1 Gristia Castle (10 km north of Burgio in the hamlet of San Carlo.). The few remains of this 14th century castle are located on a 514m high cliff. The structure is in a state of neglect.

- Santa Rosalia itinerary - Tourist, religious and naturalistic route of over 180 km, between the provinces of Agrigento is Palermo, to be done on foot, by bicycle or on horseback, which winds through 7 former nature reserves now absorbed by the Monti Sicani Park and 15 municipalities (Santo Stefano Quisquina, Castronovo of Sicily, Prizzi, Adriano Palace, Bivona, Burgio, Chiusa Sclafani, Bisacquino, Contessa Entellina, Flowery field, Lionheart, Plain of the Albanians, Altofonte, Monreale, Palermo), connecting the Hermitage in the territory of Santo Stefano Quisquina to the Sanctuary of Monte Pellegrino through the places linked to the cult of Santa Rosalia.
- The path, which is part of the Vie Sacre di Sicilia project, is made up of royal roads, mule tracks, paths and disused railways. Funded by the Regional Department of Agriculture, Rural Development and Mediterranean Fishing, it was officially inaugurated on 4 September 2016.
