Chub is after Grimma the second largest city of Central Saxon hill country, it lies in the valley of the Freiberg Mulde.
getting there
By train
Chub is a railway junction, because this is where the lines meet (Berlin–)Riesa–Chemnitz and (Dresden – Meißen) -Leipzig; the latter, however, is only served from the direction of Leipzig. There are hourly direct regional connections from Riesa (22 minutes), Chemnitz (35 minutes) and Leipzig (1:10 hours). In Riesa and Leipzig, the transition from long-distance traffic is possible.
By bus
From the direction of Dresden you have to take the bus since the railway line was closed Nossen (every hour with line 424 Dresden – Nossen, then continue with line 750 Nossen – Döbeln), which takes 1:40 hours from Dresden Hbf (despite a distance of just 50 km).
In the street
Döbeln is conveniently located on the A 14 Leipzig–Dresden and has two runs: 34 Döbeln-Nord and 35 Chub-East. The Döbeln-Nord exit (coming from Leipzig) leads to the B 169 Riesa–Chemnitzwho bypasses chub in the west. The Döbeln-Ost exit (coming from Dresden) leads to the B 175 Nossen–Rochlitz. This federal road runs directly through the city.
By bicycle
Döbeln is on the eastern (i.e. Freiberger) branch of the Muldental cycle path as well as at the end of the Zschopautal cycle path. The Döbeln-Elbe-Radroute provides a connection from Elbe cycle path here. On the Muldental cycle path it is approx. 43 km from Freiberg to Döbeln and 49 km from Grimma. The distance from Mittweida to Döbeln via the Zschopautal cycle path is approx. 30 km, from Chemnitz 62 km. From Meißen it is about 37 km to Döbeln via the Döbeln-Elbe cycle route, and 64 km from Dresden.
mobility
In the city center, all destinations are within walking distance. There are also four city bus routes from Regiobus Middle Saxony GmbH, all four stop at the main train station and the bus station in the old town. A car, regional train or bicycle is recommended for excursions in the area. Most regional bus routes only run sporadically.

The most striking buildings in the city center are the late Gothic town church 1 St. Nikolai from the 15th century with a remarkable altar and that town hall from 1912, both located on the Obermarkt.
