Fellbach is a city in Neckar basin, it lies at the foot of the Virgin forest between the state capital Stuttgart and the neighboring district town Waiblingen.

The city of Fellbach consists of the three districts Fellbach, Schmiden and Oeffingen. The area, especially that Schmidener field, was once mainly used for agriculture, with a focus on viticulture. In the last few decades Fellbach has expanded and developed significantly due to the influence of the nearby state capital. Not least because of the Schwabenlandhalle and the location of the city on the Württemberg Wine Route Fellbach describes himself as City of Wines and Congresses.

By train

The line S2Train the S-Bahn Stuttgart goes from Stuttgart through Fellbach and on to Schorndorf, the line S3Train goes on after Backnang. The line U1Subway the Stuttgart light rail has its terminus in Fellbach (Fellbach Luther Church). All routes belong to the Stuttgart Transport and Tariff Association. The S-Bahn is operated by Deutsche Bahn and the Stadtbahn by SSB.

The main traffic connection is the B14from Stuttgart to Waiblingen goes. It runs on the southern outskirts of Fellbach through the 1.6 km long Kappelberg tunnel.
