Waiblingen is a city in Baden-Wuerttemberg, about 15 kilometers northeast of Stuttgart.

Waiblingen lies on the edge of the Neckar basin on the Rems. First mentioned in a document in 885, Waiblingen in Wuerttemberg received city rights in 1250. During the plague around 1480, the University of Tübingen was temporarily in Waiblingen. During the Thirty Years' War, the city was almost completely destroyed and initially only recovered slowly. 1973 was the Great county seat Waiblingen seat of Rems-Murr district.

Waiblingen includes the places Beinstein, Bittenfeld, Hegnach, Hohenacker and Neustadt as well as some farms and residential areas. The neighboring communities belong to Stuttgart region: Affalterbach, People Bach, Schwaikheim, basket, Wine town, Cores, Fellbach, Remseck.

The city is on the Württemberg Wine Route and at the German half-timbered street.
