The small town Flea is lying in Zschopautal, at the mouth of the Flöha River in the Zschopau. In the past it was an important location for the textile industry.
getting there
By train
Flöha station is served every two hours by RE line 3 Dresden – Zwickau – Hof and every hour by RB line 30 Dresden – Zwickau. In addition to the main line, there are two other routes that branch off from that one: one to Annaberg-Buchholz/Cran number and one after Olbernhau. Since the trains running on it from / to Chemnitz are tied through, there are many connections from Chemnitz. In daytime traffic, that means several trains per hour.
In the street
The B 173 crosses in Flöha Chemnitz–Freiberg the B 180 from Frankenberg, where there is a connection to the east-west motorway A4. South of Flöha, the B 180 opens up the southern Chemnitz area.

If you drive the B 173 eastwards towards Freiberg, you come to Falkenau. There you turn in the direction of Hetzdorf and reach the Hetzdorf railway viaduct. The 328 m long and 43 m high bridge was built from 1866 for the Dresden – Chemnitz railway line and has worn out over the years. In the end, the bridge could only be driven at 10 km / h, so that in 1986 it was decided to straighten the route and replace the Hetzdorf Viaduct with two new concrete bridges. One crosses one of these concrete bridges before reaching the Hetzdorf Viaduct. Today a hiking trail leads over the old viaduct.
