In neighboring Reken is the Frankenhof Wildlife Park, which is an ideal destination for young families with its large-scale playground, mostly covered barbecue areas and the petting zoo.
In Stadtlohn there is the Losbergpark, which is a destination for bike tours, especially in summer. The "Losbergspieker" excursion restaurant can be found on site, serving Bavarian flair with a large and small menu in a modern guise. The Losbergpark also offers bird aviaries, treading water, mini golf and bocce court, children's playground, skate park and, on weekends in summer, a park run by the local railway club.
In Vreden is the "Kult" (cultural and historical center cult - culture and living tradition Westmünsterland) Particularly to emphasize, which brings the visitor closer to the West Munsterland cultural history. It tells the story of the Berkel via traditional bonnets to the German-Dutch neighborhood. Tip: look out for a very special kind of shoe that was used to smuggle in the woods.
