Grömitz has been a seaside resort since 1813 and a Baltic spa resort since 1949, making it one of the oldest seaside resorts on the Baltic Sea. Since 2007, Grömitz has formed an administrative community with the three municipalities Dahme, pit and Kellenhusen. The small village also belongs to Grömitz 54.190310.98611 Cismar with the former Benedictine monastery.

By plane

By train

Grömitz cannot be reached directly by train. The next train stations are the train stations in 54.10410.80784 Neustadt and in 54.2839710.882675 Oldenburg to disposal. Buses run from there Auto power (a DB subsidiary) to Grömitz.

By bus

From Neustadt train station, take the 5800 bus from the railway subsidiary Auto power or with the 5600 bus from Oldenburg in Holstein to Grömitz. From Hamburg ZOB runs Flixbus Several times a day in summer, less often in winter due to demand, to Grömitz.

From the federal highway , Junction 13 Neustadt i.H./Pelzerhaken connects the federal road , (Neustadt in Holstein - Grömitz - Heiligenhafen) the seaside resorts on the Bay of Lübeck.

By boat

Grömitz has no port and cannot be reached directly by ship, with the exception of excursion traffic. There are comfortable berths in the for pleasure craft 54.1349210.94856 Marina on the southern outskirts.

The promenade, pedestrian zone and spa gardens are all within walking distance of each other. There is also public bus transport, which can also be used to reach Cismar.

• The main attraction of Grömitz is the wide, fine sandy south beach. Since the beach slopes gently, it is also suitable for families with children. As everywhere in the region, visitors over the age of 18 are obliged to pay a health resort tax.
