Guía de Isora is a city on the island Tenerife.

The town of Guía de Isora is located above the west coast of Tenerife at an average altitude of 580 m and is the administrative seat of the neighboring town Chío and the places on the coast Playa de San Juan and Alcalá. The area is used for agriculture for the cultivation of tomatoes and especially the Canarian bananas. Unfortunately, from the height of the city, one has a not edifying view of the plastic tarpaulin in these plantations. For some years now, these have also been hiding flowers, which are somewhat more economical when it comes to using water as a resource.

Guía de Isora is on the road TF-82, it comes from the end of the autobahn 
at Adeje and leads over Santiago del Teide to the north coast Icod de los Vinos. The TF-463 connects Guá de Isora with the coast at Playa de San Juan, from the neighboring Chío leads the TF-38 to the Teide National Park.

The place is on a mountain slope, the streets of the old town are narrow and sometimes quite steep. With the car you have a lot of trouble driving to the parking lot above the community center. For most visitors, it is certainly better to use the good parking facilities along the wide thoroughfare.
Tourist Attractions
The old town is a listed building. In its center there is a parish square with the Marienkirche on a stream Church of the Virgen de la Luz, it is surrounded by old laurel trees, the old town hall and the inevitable typical bar. Below the church, the path leads along the stream past a modern parish hall to the thoroughfare. Above the community square there is an old water point and an oven next to the local police station.
When the weather is clear you have a good view of the island La Gomera.

Guía de Isora is a good starting point for a trip to Teide National Park, the street of Chío is quite new and can also be used by large tourist buses. In some places along the way, lookout points offer parking.
