![]() | Visa restrictions: Proof of travel to Nagorno-Karabakh can cause problems, if one wishes to visit theAzerbaijan. The Azeri authorities refuse to issue a visa, cancel any Azeri visa obtained previously, and prohibit entry into the country. When one tries to enter Azerbaijan, from this region, one is turned back, expelled, or even arrested. If necessary, the Nagorno-Karabakh authorities can issue their visa on a separate piece of paper from your passport, although sometimes they forget to do so, even if you have invited them to do so. The easiest way is to do the reverse circuit, to plan a trip that passes in Azerbaijan before going to Nagorno-Karabakh! |

Citizens of the following countries can visit Nagorno-Karabakh without a visa: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, Tajikistan and UzbekistanCitizens of other countries can obtain a visa at the Permanent Mission of Nagorno-Karabakh in Armenia. In exceptional cases, the entry visa may be granted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Stepanakert. Possible visas are a 21-day single-entry tourist visa and single or multiple entry visas valid for a maximum of one, two or three months.
