Hemsbach is a city in the Electoral Palatinate.

The city of Hemsbach is located between the Upper Rhine Plain and the Odenwald on the Mountain road. It was first mentioned in 795 in the Lorsch Codex as a property of the monastery. For several centuries the place belonged to the Electoral Palatinate, in 1803 Hemsbach became Baden property.
